Recognized as a provincial historical relic in 2003, the mass grave of martyrs of battalion 6, regiment 12, division 3 (Golden Star Division) was built after An Nhon had been liberated to preserve the bodies of 153 martyrs of the 6th battalion bravely sacrificed during the 1968 Tet campaign in Western Phuong Danh, Dap Da ward (An Nhon town).  It was restored, embellished and upgraded in order to meet the need of visiting of the provincial leaders, departments, local authorities and people as well as to express the morality "When you drink water, think of its source" for the heroic martyrs, contributing to encourage and educate the young to remember the predecessor generations who bravely fought for independence and freedom.
