Quy Nhon has its first 5-star hotel

On December 12, the leader of the Department of Tourism of Binh Dinh province said that the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) issued Decision No. 620/QD-CDLQGVN recognizing Anya Premier Quy Nhon Hotel (An Duong Vuong Street, Nguyen Van Cu Ward, Quy Nhon City) as meeting 5-star standards.

This is the first hotel to be recognized as a 5-star hotel in the region, contributing to improving the competitiveness of Quy Nhon tourism and promoting cooperation opportunities with domestic and foreign partners.

According to the Department of Tourism, Binh Dinh currently has more than 1,000 accommodation establishments with more than 19,100 rooms, an increase of 604 establishments with more than 5,481 rooms compared to 2023. Of which, there are 13 4-star hotels; 13 3-star hotels; 36 2-star hotels, 20 1-star hotels and 473 accommodation establishments that meet tourism standards. However, the locality still has 477 establishments that have not yet recognized quality standards; in addition, there are a number of 5-star resorts and resorts and a number of hotels that meet 5-star criteria but have not yet been recognized.

In 2023-2024, the province issued 25 decisions to recognize tourism service establishments that meet additional criteria for improving service quality, including 18 accommodation establishments (4-star: 5 hotels; 3-star: 3 hotels; 2-star: 8 hotels; 1-star: 2 hotels), 6 travel agencies; 1 dining establishment that meets standards for serving tourists. The Department of Tourism continues to receive registrations from 29 tourism service establishments that meet additional criteria for improving service quality. To improve the quality of accommodation for tourists, the Department also strengthens inspections of compliance with legal regulations on publicly posting prices and selling at the correct listed prices, food hygiene and safety, environmental protection, security and order, traffic safety, labor safety and a number of other specialized contents related to tourism activities according to the provisions of law, especially on weekends and holidays...

Mr. Ngo Thanh Hoang, Deputy General Director of Anya Hotel chain, said that to achieve 5-star recognition, the hotel had to pass a rigorous inspection process, fully meeting the strict standards of facilities, service quality and customer satisfaction. This recognition decision is a recognition of the hotel's continuous efforts in developing high-quality resort services, while enhancing the maximum satisfaction of domestic and foreign tourists. Being recognized as a 5-star hotel will help tourists coming to Binh Dinh have better choices of high-class services; contributing to the province in developing sustainable tourism when combining seminars, conferences with resorts.

In 2024, the tourism industry will bring great profits to the province with estimated revenue of VND 25,500 billion, an increase of 55.4% compared to 2023. Of which, the number of visitors and tourists is estimated at 9.2 million, an increase of 83.9% compared to 2023.

In 2025, Binh Dinh province continues to strive to welcome 10 million visitors, of which 110,000 are international visitors and 9.89 million are domestic visitors, with estimated revenue of about 26,000 billion VND.
